Hi,

I'm in the market for a N wireless router for use with my 10Mb NTL connection, must be good at torrents for all those Linux distributions ;)

Also it would be nice if it had Gigabit ethernet ports.

Netgear's WNR54T would do what you want, pre-n wireless and also gigabit ports :) Easy to set up and it even looks quite nice too.

I have the ADSL version of the router and have been very impressed with it, missing a few of the more advanced features of my previous DrayTek though (QoS/VPN/VLAN etc).

The 11n is also really good, areas of my house that previously got a weak/no signal from the DrayTek now get nearly full from the Netgear - using a MBP and MB on 11n now instead of on b/g as before.

So is this still Pre-N, I thought the N was now a ratified stadard?

Also is it any good with torrents e.g. multiple incoming/outgoing connections.

Cheers

802.11n has not been ratified yet, although I would expect that most of the devices on the market at the moment will just require a firmware update to the full standard.

Not had any trouble with torrents yet, and my client is set to allow 2500 global connections :)
