Best need for speed games, Collection pc?

Due to release of new new for speed game I got looking into this. And people where saying best games to date was original most wanted and underground 2.

I dont know how dated these games are graphically but fr just over £5 I made the 'risk' and ordered Pc collection.

are these games still playable these days or should i have just bought the latest one?

I loved NfS Underground at the time for the drifting since IIRC it was released at the same time as the first Fast and Furious movie, which felt epic at times. Underground 2 brought in the more open world racing aspect to the game though removed drifting. I didn't like Most Wanted at first due to the difference in handling of the cars but once you got into the later races was a lot of fun. Probably Most Wanted was my favourite with the long police chases along the highways.

Always surprised me that EA haven't rolled out a big collection pack of these like they did with the C&C series (in fact I think they've done that twice now).

Most Wanted is indeed one of the best in the series but not quite up there with Porsche 2000.
