Have ordered a Gelid Icy Vision cooler to fit to my loud and hot 470.
I believe that such comes with some thermal paste but would like to fit the 'best' (without spending a fortune!) so that I can get the best drop in temps that I can.
In stock have got:-
Mx2; and
xigmatek PTI-G3606
and will have , I believe, GC2 (from Gelid).
I last fitted an after market cooler to my Zotac 8800GT - it's still running happily in my sons computer but I used AS5 (of which I've still got a fair bit) which I now understand I should not have as it's conductive.- Got to say that even I should not have used it NOT one problem with it in the years since it was fitted and it did/does cool well
I do not mind spending a few £ in getting a really good , if not the 'best' paste for a gpu.and believe that it 'must' be non-conductive. So...
