The Seasonic Focus Plus 650w is a no brainer while it's at the same price of the 550w version. Despite being a recently launched platform they tick all the right boxes and have been getting excellent reviews. They are gold rated, fully modular and very compact at only 140mm long and has a single 12v rail of 648w and a 10 year warranty. You can read a review of the 650w version here.

Solid choice there and have fun fitting it all
Kinda weary. About 3 years ago, ordered a modular PSU from Amazon or might not been modular. It exploded as I turned it on. Couldn't tell if I attached the wrong cable or it was faulty but got refunded lol. Will have to check a guide to make sure im putting it in the right sockets

The sockets on the Seasonic are labelled and so are the cables so you can't really do it wrong. I think most modular psu's are similar these days.
The pus box and itself the psu is so beautiful! Assembled pc last night, attached all the cables to the right slots(hopefully) but I'm doubting myself since the incident of blowing one up once. Can't find specific videos online, can you link me one that shows the correct slots for the correct wires? Just in case, can't bring myself to turn it on lol

It should be labelled on the actual psu above where the cables plug in and also the cables should have what they power on one end (pci-e/cpu etc) and the end that connects to the psu is labelled psu so you can't plug them in the wrong way around. See here and here and here. It looks like the CPU and PCI-e leads can be plugged into any of the sockets labelled CPU/PCI-e so don't have any dedicated socket for each type.
