Best options to remove brown from poobuntu?

ok, gonna try poobuntu again as I'm bored

The only thing that puts me off is all the brown!!!1!!!!1!!

What do people suggest for the following:

1) windows borders
2) font's
3) background image
4) splash screen
5) Login screen

I would like it all to match as best it can do, be sleek, "glassy look" but not OSX clone.

Install debian.

More fun than ubuntu and blue rather than brown.

hehe I have, debian squeeze but I dunno ubuntu just seems abit more polished on the desktop now. Debian is great on my server but is a little bit more fiddly on the desktop.

I still would want to jazz up squeeze as well.

Ubuntu is certainly prettier, with compiz and the like installed. There's a mist theme under preferences, appearance which would very quickly remove the brown colour. I've not had much luck installing other themes from the net though I'm sure it's possible.

Debian squeeze instead of lenny on a server?

I may have been lying when I said debian is more fun.

oh no debian lenny no gui on my server and was going to use debian squeeze on my desktop.

TBH I cba to fiddle with distro's anymore lol. Gonna find a nice theme and background and try change the splash screen and gdm theme in virtualbox first.

Why not just pick a distro that you like, make it look pretty (and here's the cunning bit)... and stick with it?

I haven't been able to stick on a linux distro for more than 2 weeks since 2005 lol...
