Hi all,

I've been having some random crashes which seem to be driver based (RX5700XT on older games).

Is there a best practice for the order in which software, drivers and firmware etc are installed?

I'm thinking of going Windows 11, currently on 10.

Any help or advice would be great.

Thanks.

Format > install all drivers > install a game > test

If it still crashes check event logs to see if you can see which driver causing it.

Uninstall > Install another version > report to vendor. Repeat.

EDIT: Don't forget to update bios and reset the bios to default settings.

Thanks for that.

I wondered if Windows update before vendor drivers was best or vice versa.
