Best own goal ever ?

Traores is pretty spectacular, still give my mate here at work a ribbing over it as he is a die-hard Liverpool supporter.

To be sung to the tune of Blame it on the Boogie:

Don't Blame it on the Sami
Don't Blame it on the Finnan
Don't Blame it on the Haman
Blame it on Traore...

He just can't, he just can't, he just can't control his feet... :D

I still cringe every time he sets foot on the pitch!

Heard about that chris brass one from a friend, didnt see it until then absolutely hilarious :D

Traores is quality as he takes it round his own keeper straight into the net probably the best thing he has done all season tbh :D

saw this one a while back, poor guy where's ya gk when you need him! surely he would have seen him running up! what a tool :D

Yeah Crossley once dived to save a shot and rolled over losing control of the ball and it rolled in to the net. Very embarrasing.

The Chris Brass one is hilarious, I *think* he broke his nose in the process as well. Theres one on youtube that's funny, it's a long range shot that balloons in to the sky and the keeper thinks it's going to hit the bar, but it lands on top of his head and in to the goal, knocking the keeper to the floor. If that's one of the links above I apologise, but I'm at work and can't view the clips :)

Are you thinking of Mark Crossley (Forest) when they lost 6 or 7-0 (I think) at Blackburn? He did something daft like rolling over with the ball and dropping it in his own net

Yep Crossley is the culprit. Cheers because that was going to really annoy me. :)

Eddie Youds, anyone? His OGs were even worse than Lee Dixon's.

I also remember David O'Leary chipping his own goalie from 30 yards, think it was a FA Cup match in the early 90s.

Don't remeber that. Lee Dixon did though.

Jamie Pollock scored a screamer too

Anyone seen Frank Queudrue's back for his old team?

Runs at the ball and from about 30 yards unexplainably whacks the ball and lobs his own keeper.. :D

EDIT

Found it :D.

Arsenal fans remember Lauren's in our unbeaten season against Man City? Long ball is played over the top, Lauren looks comfortable with slight pressure on him but he takes a bad touch and suddenly finds himself running towards goal with a man on. He takes it further still until he is about 15 yards out before superbly placing it in to the bottom right, Lehmann didn't move. :D
