Best P2P software

Hi all,

I went onto P2P today for the first time in a while (LimeWire, if anyone's interested) and I found it's really gone downhill since last time I used it. There was very little stuff available. What's the current gold standard in P2P software? Or are all the networks like that nowadays?

Yeah I'm often using torrents but I'm really after searchable P2P type things. My ISP doesn't carry newsgroups but I suppose giganews or something might be worth a try. I take it from the lack of alternative suggestions that P2P really is in decline then?
