Hi,

I just bought a G502 Proteus Core and I'm thinking of sending it back whilst I still can, its uncomfortable to use because its too thin for my hand and makes the right side of my hand feel numb as it scrunches up after a few minutes of use.

I'm a palm grip user and mostly play FPS, can anyone tell me their experiences with a comfortable palm grip mouse please, needs to be quite wide and seat the palm of my hand comfortably.

Thanks

Had a G502 too and sent it back for the same reason and bought a Zowie EC1-A, had it for about a month now, never held a mouse that is as comfortable, just a shame you can't change the led colours on the scroll wheel other than that I can't fault it.

Thank you, I've been wondering about the exact same mouse, yeah the LED and the DPI button location are a shame but I can live with that for the comfort

Waiting to hear back from OCUK about the recall issue though, not clear if UK is affected going off the Zowie website

Is that the larger or smaller version and what kind of size hands do you have? Mine are 18.5 tip to wrist

EC1-A is the larger version, my hands are 19cm from tip to wrist.

If your looking for a mouse that is quite wide for the palm of your hand the EC2-A may be a bit small.

Thanks, I think I'm set on the EC1-A, soon as my refund comes through for the G502 I'm going to get one ordered, I was looking for a diagram like that on their website to confirm which was larger but couldn't find it so thanks for posting it

Hi,

Thanks so much for that diagram. I could not decide on the EC1 or EC2 so I got a ruler out and just measured my MX518 and the EC1 seems to be the better match.

Apparently there is some kind of recall at the moment though so we all have to wait and that the improved versions will have a red logo instead of white right?

Thanks

I asked OCUK the exact same question, it doesn't effect their stock its only BenQ branded stock it effects

I'm waiting for my G502 refund then ordering the EC1 as soon as its in my account

I predict OCUK will be out of stock as soon as I'm ready to order :p

Decided on a Mionix Naos 7000, was very tempted by the StealSeries Rival 300 on offer at OCUK at the moment but reading and watching many reviews the Naos is supposedly one of the most comfortable palm grip mouse devices available

Not sure why OCUK dont sell them though

Shame you got some pain from the 502 - i'm on a 502, also 19cm from tip of finger to wrist and I find it amazingly comfortable in a palm grip and I use it 10-12 hours a day.
It's very light as well I found which is excellent for anti-fatigue purposes.

Previously I used a deathadder - what previous mouse did use prior?

Im looking at the Zowie EC1-A too since my 2nd Razer DA has developed the same problem (Tiny crack in the left click plastic which becomes weaker) but they aren't available on OcUK anymore :/ general stockists are hard to come by so might just get the DA replaced for now.
