Best partition program and vista dual boot?

Hey guys just wondering if some people could give their opinions on a decent partition programme. I have 1 hdd with xp on it and would like to dual boot with vista therefore i need a partitioning program to partition some free space and then install vista.

Also if anyone could point me in the direction of a guide to dual booting?

Paid for: Acronis Disk Director Suite 10, Norton artition Magic

Free: Partition Logic GParted

Make a 30GB (or so) and make it a Primary part. then simply install Vista on it (ie. boot from Vista DVD, make DVD rewriter 1st boot device, HDD 2nd), on completion you will be presented with the screen (bootloader) to give you the option of what OS to select.
