well best pc for 500.00 for my bro.
c2duo based, 19inch monitor not into games but his kids like to dabble at odd games(not new ones)also a printer reasonable, dvd rw,windows xp, 250gb hd,
quite hard but thats the budget.thanks for any suggestions.

errr PG, case and PSU are luxury's ?

Use the remaining £50 to get a cheap printer.

edit: missed the xp request, maybe drop down the RAM to 2gb/get a cheaper processor to make headroom for that.

excellent Spec there.

thinking a c2duo though so can oc it a bit so thinking a 21xx or whatever doesnt need a card as powerful as the 1950 pro maybe a 85oogt at most

The trouble with Core 2s at this price range is that the motherboards are more expensive than their AMD counterparts since Intel motherboards need a northbridge.

is the Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 Skt775 AGP/PCiEx any good said it supports Supports FSB1066/800/533MHz processors and H-T Technology so will it support a 6750. thinking of using on board for now and get better cpu with difference. heres what ive got for price at mo

cheapo case 20.00
dvd rw 20.00
hd 320gb 45.00
2gb value ddr2 38.00
19 inch monitor 110.00
asrock board 41.00 has onboard sound ,vid
epson printer 36.00
intel 6750 123.00
xp 55.00 comes out just over could give him my old psu a good one just got a new one. case could update at different time.

Problem is, if your overclocking cooling is an issue, the cheap cases don't have fantastic airflow as it is, and stock coolings pretty horrible.
The none p35 chipsets dont run them as cool either, so you could be running into a very hot system, not to mention noisy.

Not sure the tuniq would fit very well inside that case either, tho if it can its a fantastic cooler. Err tho not that easy to install on the DS3R either, theres a few cables that need to be plugged in under where the cooler is, making it very difficult in my experience.
