best pc games(racing/shooting)

ok i am quite new to the pc gaming thing so i would like ot know what are the best games for the pc that i could buy. i like racing games like gtr2 etc and battlefield and call of duty. but is there nymore out there that i can buy?

Racing: DIRT? Test Drive Unlimited?

Shooting: Red Orchestra, Insurgent. Plenty of choices really.

Counterstrike and Live For Speed are the only 2 of those types of games that have held my attention for more than a year!

Racing games - Live For Speed, GTR, GTR2, Race, GT Legends, rFactor, GPL, Richard Burns Rally.

Shooters - F.E.A.R. (+ the excellent addon), Far Cry, COD 1 + 2, Doom 3, Quake 4, NOLF 1 + 2, GRAW 1 + 2, HL2 + EP1.

I'm currently enjoying stalker. I hated it at 1st but after a few hours perservering it really is a very good game with tonnes of atmosphere, and even though I have never shot anyone in real life, it seems SO REAL!

Haven't played GTR/GTR2 but have got/played the others.

GP4 is a good 'un if you want some F1 action. Probably quite hard to get now though.
