Currently using a overclocked 460gtx 1gb.

Just wondering what are the best options for cards as everything current gen/last gen seems to of switched to PCI 3.0 and I'm not ready yet to make the jump from my Q9650/780I etc.

Don't really have a budget but would like a nice boost in performance to make it worth the upgrade. Oh and for what its worth playing at 1920x1200

You can use any of the PCI-E 3.0 cards in a PCI-E 2.0 slot...
they are backward compatible

Is that the case with all 3.0 cards? I take it the card would be limited with my still using 2.0 though? (I'm not sure on the difference between 2.0 and 3.0)

The 780i has 3 x16 slots as I'm sure a x8 would limit it more etc

Well I've just got 2x6pins so thinking of going for a 760 (nice jump from 460) although shame the memory jumps only to 2gb's which seems bad. Looking at the cards though they seem to need 1x8pin and 1x6pin
