It appears that Intel will shortly be entering the market with SSDs too.

However it seems that the OCZ SATAII SSD blows the Travelstar away.

That's the chap to get ! I bought one from OcUK recently, seems quick and as quiet as the stock drive in my non-pro MacBook. I haven't used it on battery yet but by all accounts it has minimal effect on battery life too.
