What options are there available for scanning photos and documents?

Currently I juse use Paint in Vista which gets the job done but is a bit of a pain when doing lots of files as I have to manually crop them and/or straighten them.

Is there any software that will just automatically crop and straighten documents/photos as I scan them?

what scanner is it? flatbed / sheetfed autofeeder?

What are you scanning, paper documents or photo prints or films?

quickscan is good for high volume stuff

Vuescan is regarded as the best for films etc

Infothek is pretty decent, i'm used to a slightly older version though.

Im scanning Gig tickets (Someone wants to browse through them) and they're all on paper (Coloured)

Its both, But will be using the flatbed as the autofeeder will most likely break the stubs off the tickets, Although it will most likely be quicker.

Will have a browse through those, Cheers.
