Best picture website?

Hi all hope you guys can help.

I'm looking to get a few photos i took on phone made up then framed at a local shop.

What's a very good site for making photo prints?

Looking for :- good quality imagine/paper prints
speedy delivery lol.

Oooo thread hijack imminent, I took a photo in London on my phone and apparently it's good so I've been looking for this too. @OP is yours landscape or portrait and what size are you after?

DSCL always get great feedback on here and are the best of the affordable options I've used.

Any other recommendations?

Photo is from my sc2 and portrait, not sure dimensions when it comes to phone camera tbh.

Forgot to say, would like good quality prints as they going to be framed as a gift. (frame a turd comes to mind lol)

One quick question, how would you be able to tell if the quality is high enough that it doesn't look like **** on a canvas, or is that not how it works?

They will give you anindication when you upload it if they think the file has enough resolution. If you want to be sure post a link to the origional file and I'm sure someone will give you an opinion.

this depends on intended viewing distance.

If you took the photos on a phone camera then don't get misled by the resolution. It might be an 8MP file but there is in way you have 8Mp of actual data from the tiny sensor and lens. In fact I would be mpted to do some post-processing and down-sample to 50% to improve sharpness and edge acuity.
Also there will be no need to pay for high-end prints with an image form a camera, you simply wont have the colour depth or acuity to make it worthwhile. I would print form Snapfish, very good quality typically at low prices and a good service.

The problem with that is it assumes the 8mP image actually contains spatial information at that resolution, for most lower end cameras with small sensors and weak lenses that simply isn't the case.

so ive jumped in and ordered some prints for about a fiver, not too bad, will let you know how they come up.

ordered two 5"x 5" nd a 5"x3" for one as to give the best fit.

will any issues you know where il be posting/ranting lol
