I had a look through the 5 pages of Biker Cafe, but didn't see any mention of where you guys go to get new rubber?

I use Black Circles for the car, which is just nice and easy, is there a similar service for bikes (Black Circles wont do fitting for bikes)

I'm looking for a ride in/ride out place rather than dropping the wheels off.

FYI I have a 2002 Honda Hornet 600 (Faired) still on the original tyres! The back is squared due to the previous owner, but I'm concerned more about the age to be honest.

I imagine tyres have come a long way in 8 years!

Tyres have definitely come a long way! and over the last few years manufacturers seem to be changing them every 6 months!

And yes 8 year old tyres should probably have been changed years ago :p

What type of riding do you do?

As for ride in ride out not sure up bucks way but im sure others will be able to help.

Thanks Fireskull!

I'm pretty new to riding (125 for a year, got the Hornet in March) I'm with TVAM so do progressive riding and some commuting. I'd prefer grip over tyre life though.

At the moment I'm a fair weather biker, but get caught out sometimes! I think the current tyres are BT-056's!

These new Dunlop Sportsmax SportSmart are getting pretty good reviews, thought id imagine the Michelin Power Road's and Pirelli Diablo or Diablo Corsa's would be pretty good but you will probably have to pay more.
Sorry im not that great on less sporty tyres though im sure others with similar bikes will be able to give some input, though dunlop to recommend the below tyres for your bike.

Just remember when changing make to make sure you change both tyres at the same time, though your average tire place will not allow you to fit different make of tires to each wheel :p
