Hi all,

I'm after some decent gauages

Are DEFI the best?

Where can I get them from please?

Thanks.....

I got mine from Nengun in Japan they take ages to deliver but they are cheap.

Negun is the cheapest for brand new gauges, but check out some owners websites for jap cars, especially scoobynet. Theres always 2nd hand gauges going on there for very reasonable money, or group buys with a good percentage off the list price. I managed to pick my set of 3 plus all the wiring and sensors up for £200, but that was a particularly good bargain as the guy who sold them to me was the previous owner of my car.

I use the Defi link system in Fluffy and although they ended up costing me a fortune when I bought a set off Ebay that were wrongly described so had to buy extra guages they were well worth it. Along with the Control Unit II I find them to be pretty damn accurate (they are known to under read a touch on certain duties). I bought normal guages more than once before these and they simply didn't compare.

I too have used Nengun before a few times and will continue to use them for high value specialist Jap car parts!

A couple of pics of my defi's here:

In short, Defi's are bootiful :).

Defi boost gauges nearly always over-read by about 0.1 bar.

And if it's a Defi pics thread...:p

i know a fella addictited to Defis, his latest project has over a grands worth, and thats from Japan! They do look cool, but never been one for loads of guages myself, temp and boost does me fine.

I used the defi control link 2 and defi BF boost gauge on my 200sx, great piece of kit - especially if you want to add additional gauges and sensors in the future - the daisy chaining is dead handy to keep the wiring neat :)

I found that compared to the Greddy Profec B the defi would usually show a slightly higher peak reading.

My friend has pretty much every defi BF guage and the HUD projector in his 200sx.. looks like the starship enterprise :D

With these gauges, how do you install them?

Like the oil temp one, do you have to put the sensor in the oil somehow? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?
