Does anyone know the best (cheapest) place to buy a licence key for Microsoft office?

Just read some feedback on amazon and apparently there are sellers selling stolen corporate Microsoft office licence keys, some people are paying for a key they can't use and others are having their software randomly deactivated due to a blocked licence key.

I'd like to get a licence key cheap from a reputable vendor, any suggestions?

There no such thing really, all those cheap keys are either volume licence or home use program keys that shouldn't be resold. Which version do you require and whats it for home or work? If its for home and you have kids in school they can probably download Office 365.

It's just for home use which is why I'm not willing to pay a ridiculous price for it.

I don't know anyone who still has an active dreamspark/imagine subscription. Mines expired last year :-(

I brought a cheap license for Office 2016 last year, from a online company called electronic first, only cost me £10, activated my office perfectly fine the first time, I thought, great, beats paying £100 for it from anywhere else, of course the big issue came when I upgraded my system and had to wipe the drives and re-install everything, office would no longer activate, turns out it was a one time use key only and if you ever have to re-install windows or even just office, you have to buy a new key, for someone who upgrades a lot, that very soon works out more expensive than just paying the £100 odd quid.

Does your employer have a Microsoft home use programme?
If they do then you can get a legit full package key for £10-15 direct from MS.

Outside of that if it’s just basic work processing and spreadsheets just use google docs.

I have office 2016 on my work laptop but I don't want to have to use it for personal use. I'll probably try a free vendor it's really not worth paying more than 20 quid for it considering how little I use it.

I bought a cheap license and it seams M$ lost a court case to block its sale. They are probably bankrupt stock that M$ don't want resold. But they work.

Ah man - always cool when you do the 90s thing and use a $ instead of an S.
How cool would the world be if everything was legal if it works?
If I were to go and lose my driving licence by getting 12 points, then get into a car and attempt to start it - if it starts then I'm OK, I'm allowed to drive it, that would be pretty cool right?

What you've purchased is not a legitimate license. you should have saved your money and just pirated it yourself, it would have been as legitimate as what you purchased.

THe point of home use is you get a seperate license / copy for the media distribution cost (around £10) and is the best way to get office if your employer offers the scheme its a seperate copy that doesnt interact with your work copy... legally your only meant to use it while in employment of the company and they are licensed though.

I am a child of the 50s so using 90s terms is quite legitemate.
Yes if they (Microsoft) allow it to be activated on their system and the EU have deemed these sales to be legal then I am doing nothing wrong.
What is your priblem with that?
Andi.
