after having one of my favorite lagers canceled by its brewers ive been searching for something else that tickles my taste buds, after discovering that pilsners and ipa's have the characteristics ive been enjoying in my lager of choice Ive started to expand my drinking repertoire but im struggling to find a good source with a large enough choice to really get some variety in.

At the moment my local Morrisons doesn't really put in a good show, haven't been to Tesco yet but i cant imagine they would be a vastly greater improvement.
internet or high street will do just as long as there is a wide variety. where are you guys shopping for your booze?

Also thought about brewing my own but there seems to be a lot of trial and error involved with flavour among the inexperienced so not sure if this would be and ideal solution.

I loved Greene kings hop English beer, very mild beer aimed at lager drinkers, very hoppy taste and aroma with very little bitterness. alas this is no longer brewed.

Had a couple of bottles of pilsner urqell the other night, very nice but not as hoppy as id prefer, also had a bottle of sierra nevada pale ale, this was nice but a little bitter for my taste, obviously im pretty new to these types of beverage so im unaccustomed o the flavours in the same way you have your first lager as a kid and think its foul, look at us now.

lager as a true sense is bud ice, stella 4%, cobra, coors lite and becks. the standard fair of the yoof! part of the reason im trying to leave them behind. would have took a bottle of hop over them though.

Anything from oakham ales may be of interest but rarely seen in a supermarket. I got a load of Citra from a website once but tbh it's expensive buying online.

The usual supermarkets all have some beers - depends on the individual store how many - I find Booths has the best choice of ales and has some really interesting smaller breweries too. Closest to you would be Penrith which is a bit of a trek but at least the scenery is nice :)

Could be an idea looking for other independents or small chains in your area.

Definitely think im going to have to go on a drive about, see if i can find some new haunts to explore. penrith may be a little further than id like :D

Incase you didn't check it out, Beers of Europe is still showing stock for Hop. Could buy a case or two to keep you going for a couple of days!

For the life of me i didn't think to check for hop, will be getting a case or two as it seems to be the last i will see of it. im hoping to find some new tipple to grab me, im not shy of trying new drinks so would be interested in buying a selection of bottles online with a few people if that is something that will be happening.
