Afternoon Biker's Cafe,

Where would you recommend to buy a pinlock in the UK online? I've found some stuff via Google, including ones for pinlock ready/prepared visors but thought I would check who people recommend.

Cheers!

I got both mine from the Visorshop so can recommend that site.

They sent the wrong ProtecTINT one out so as I was returning the other one, the correct one came pretty much next day after the complaint. Quality service!

Is it the visor and pin lock insert you needed? Or just the Pinlock to go in to your current visor?

I've used Racevisors in the past, for visors, inserts and helmets and found them to be fantastic, very fast service.

Just the insert, my helmet is pinlock ready.

Found a place which is based in Guernsey so shipping would be quick at least :D Total cost works out to the same as others.

The place in guernsey doesn't actually ship from there, although the service is excellent. I know this as I wanted to buy a helmet a while ago and as I go guernsey at least twice a month, it would have been easy to pick it up. Was told "no can do". :)

Ditto.

Just ordered an L-type visor for my Arai... £47 quid! Last time I bought a tint I'm sure it was about half that :(. (I may have rose tinted x-frame Oakleys on)

Visor and the prep pins is all! The arai visors have funky little hinged flaps and a locking slider attached though, must increase the cost.

Arrived this morning though, seems OEM enough!

To be honest I only fitted the pinlock to my winter/rainy day (clear) visor and left the tinted (sunny day) visor without. :)

Funnily enough I'm doing the opposite to this! I mostly use my clear at night and find the pinlock interferes with headlights etc and makes things less clear. I'm sure I read an internet about it...

I have my ProtecTINT on all the time, you tend to get used to it. It's great for blocking out that morning sun at 7am and the blinding roads after it's been raining. I find it relaxes my eyes a little bit when riding so I'm not squinting half the time.
