Thought I would ask here and see if others have had good or bad experiences.

Im after a proper experience day for the wifes birthday. Ideally 3 or 4 super cars. A Lambo, Ferrari, Aston and maybe a McLaren type affair. I live in hampshire so ideally within a 2 hour drive however if worth the trip happy to Hotel it for a night or two. would rather she got more than 2 laps and most importantly have a right blast. Seems that there are so many companies selling other companies events and would rather go direct to the company that organises it etc as some of the "red letter" type days are really naff from what I can tell.

Any experience or advice welcome

TIA

I used this company previously

Was probably 10 years or so ago for my wife's grandad, he drove Porsche, Aston Martin DBs V12, Ferrari maranello and Lamborghini.

The day was quite good, the instructor let him go as fast or as slow as he wanted, he just went for a poodle, for him it was the thrill of just getting in one, ticked driving a Ferrari off his bucket list.

It did however make him not like supercars lol, afterwards he questioned what they could do better than his van on a daily basis. He was right, but think he missed the point of these cars.

Unfortunately he passed last year but was one of his favourite recent memories

Both my son's have been on Driving Experience days, and I have wondered if they have been worth it. I didn't feel that they got enough laps, or even scratched the potential of the cars. Red Letter and Virgin Experiences were guilty of this.

Depending on how much you want to spend I'd be looking to go big, if you want her to have a great experience. You could also consider hiring something unusual for aa day/weekend.

If it's adrenaline she wants then the Forster Racing option might be worthwhile looking at. Not Supercars but lots of sideways action.

If it's Supercars she wants just go for the loudest, as that really adds to the experience. Fat load of good having 700BHP and a less dramatic noise. The 720S that my younger son drove didn't get above 4K revs on the track he drove it on, so the sound levels didn't excite him enough, even though the car is stunning. If you can get an Aventador or 12 cylinder Ferrari they do tend to sound better/louder and will add to her memory.

JP day is extremely good fun and they encourage you to push on and use the cars.

Supercar experiences tend to be quite muted affairs
