ive recently broken my 6500 classic after trying to repair it myself.(obviously voided the warranty.) rather stupid i know. :)

the problem i had was the ringer speaker was hideously distorting. i found a guide to take it apart but whilst doing this i managed to crack the lcd.

ive had a look at seperate components. the lcd is around £30 and the the speaker £2. not a huge job bu i rather let a pro do it now tbh.

i called CPW who quoted £45 all in to repair it but after hearing about shocking customer service, i wondered is there any other firms i could use?

Local market stalls as mentioned would be your best bet, but now you've ruined it once, i reckon you'd be good to fix it a second time. Its really not difficult, I'm confused as to how you managed to crack the LCD in the first place, that's quite difficult. Breaks some of the contact wires maybe, but not cracking the whole LCD!?!

Lever? Don't they just fall out =/ All the phones I've taken apart after a few screws they're held there but the ribbon and that's it, seems either a bad design or you weren't doing it right :p

Looks fine yeah, can't believe you have to lever the LCD =/ Usually that metal casing around the LCD levers off separately and then the LCD is left there hanging by its ribbon cable... Strange.
