My mum is looking to sell her N reg Ford Fiesta 1.8D. I wasn't sure where the best place to sell it would be as it has no MOT due to needing some welding work doing which just isn't worth it on a car this old. I'm sure someone who can do the welding themselves would be able to do it very cheaply however. The car has done about 170k but the engine is still very good and economical (which is the only good thing about the engine!) and everything else on the car works fine. The car also has only a months worth of tax on it. If anyone's got some advice on this I'd be grateful.

Thanks in advance.

with scrap metal being so vauable ring a few local scappys and get collection on it if you want ease of getting rid. got £65 for my other half's J reg daihatsu and that was completly dead

I recently got rid of an L reg Fiesta. Agian, needed welding etc that just wasnt worth doing. Even with the high price in scrap, the things the breakers will have to pay to recycle reduce the value of the car. I was offered only £20 from one scrappy, and £0 from another. My dad managed to sell it to someone for £40 though, it had 2 weeks left on the MOT and Tax and the guy was just going to run it and then decide what to do with it.

Stick it on the bay, it isnt worth it at the breakers unless you have a mate of a mate or something.
