Best place to sell gold?

I’ve a (very small) gold bar and a couple of gold sovereigns to sell. Ramsdens declined them as they only bought scrap gold. Can anyone recommend somewhere in Glasgow or Edinburgh that I could take these items to? Or even an online firm?

Apparently not. Scrap is apparently 9 carat jewellery and suchlike, and not 24 carat bars/ coins.

Here was me thinking Brexit had happened... I’ve made a small profit on the gold and don’t fancy keeping it around the house anymore. It’s going to get sold as soon as I can and I’ll maybe buy a nice watch...
