Title says it all really. Wheres the best place for me to sell it? I have a thread in MM but its not getting any interest here whatsoever, really don't want to resort to eBay on such an expensive item. Any mac specific places worth giving a punt?

Its the first gen 2.2 SR 15.4".

Cheers, Chris.

Mate, I have only just got access to MM and was browsing that last night and saw your lappy and a black Macbook on there. Oddly enough, I am actually thinking about offering on either yours or the macbook but still undecided as to whether to buy the new spec or indeed whether a lappy is what I need full stop.

So what's the point of this post of mine? Well....err.....just to let you know that there is potentially some interest generated from MM. I might drop you a mail over the next few days mate (but obviously don't hold out for me if others have interest).

Work notice boards is a good idea!

OK thats good to know. Feel free to add me to MSn if you wanna chat about it.

Have you considered that you might have priced it too high?

I'd try eBay and be harsh on payment methods.

Looking on ebay it looks about right to me, especially considering its got 2 years warranty remaining.

It will end up on eBay eventually, when i absolutely have to sell it.

I have sold 5 MacBook Pros, a few iMacs and as many iPods on eBay.

Put them on as "Buy it Now", with a price you'd be happy to sell it for (keep it reasonable), but allow offers (You can set it to auto-accept above a certain threshold)

Specify PayPal (choose instant payment), and offer the best delivery you can or the option to collect.

I've had 1 or 2 scammers, but considering the amount of items I've sold I've always got a great price. In fact, I sold a 24" iMac (newest model) for more than I originally bought it for 7 months prior (because I'd bought it with HE discount) :D

Go see how many of the same spec items have finished, and what they ended for.. Add £50 for AppleCare and use that as your basis.

I really think that you want way too much for it personally.

The newer ones are a much better spec, apple care or not.

The old 2.16/x1600 series are going quite happily for 700+. Even the new base spec at £1299 is only 0.2ghz higher and adds multi touch.

EDIT: Glad this thread has come to life lol. I will follow the advice above and see how it goes, just waiting for the P45 boards and new 3d cards to appear on the market.

If the new one is £1300, then you'd be lucky to get £800-£900 with Applecare.
