Best place to source a bit of trim

Besides - the fact that we overclock means we are tinkerers and fiddlers - if I can pull off the removal of the dash and installation of the above products it will be very satisfying every time I use them to know the effort I went through! Will just have to try and avoid boring my friends with stories about the installation!

Yea because the £3500 E46 318i market is just dripping with models specified with widescreen navigation!

'Issues' - its had a phone kit installed, hardly issues?

I'm sure i saw other threads about things up with the car. I also don't know the market for E46 318i cars. It was a question not a statement.

If you are going to remove the dash let me know as I have all the info you need to remove it. opposit to fit. just make sure ignition and battery is off at all times so you don't have to pay out for airbag reset.

It's a PDF file 857k

Forums, find someone breaking one that is willing to mail out minor parts. I just bought a hand-brake lever trim this way.

But it isnt a minor part, its physically the same part as the whole dash. The only way you'll get it to be a minor part is by literally sawing it off. And given he wants a new one to remove some telephone holes I doubt he'd be happy with a sawn off replacement :p

Well with shipping a new dash was going to be around £60-70 off ebay. Have decided to pay someone £90 to fix the holes. I'll post before/after pictures when I have the results!

I mean minor as in not the engine, box, etc.

A lot of people breaking cars won't bother with parts that are either cheap or a lot of work to remove, that's why I classed it as "minor".
