Xbox, PS3 or PC?

I've got all 3 but my PC only has a GTX 285 and I don't want to upgrade it for this one game.

Thanks,

G

Depends what you want from the game, and which console you feel most comfortable on. I don't know if you will see much diffence on the PC if you aren't upgrading, but you might get a more 'hardcore' experience. Do you have a headset for the PS3? Squad play is big in this game, so if not maybe go for the xbox. But the xbox does have the HD pack download, so only get that one of you have one with a hard drive.

I have a pair of sennheiser pc161's that will work on all of it. I've got the 250gb xbox so the download shouldn't be an issue.

I'm mainly interested in the multiplayer. Probably won't play the single player at all to be honest.

I'll more than likely get MW3 too but not sure what on yet.

I don't feel more comfortable on one console than the other to be honest.

PC obvs and you card will handle BF3, it just means you won't be able to play at ultra settings - no biggie.

Yes, I got the game yesterday evening for my main desktop but tried it on my Dell 1749 laptop and even my ATI 5650 1GB GPU can run the game at a decent res with meduim to high settings at a decent fps, certainly looks every bit as good as the console versions. Ran smoothly enough, F18 scene in single player looked almost real lol.

Surprisingly well scaled game, it scales well on even modest hardware and looks absolutely stunning. Was very impressed with it, even on my laptop, astonishing levels of detail, fantastic sound effects and even up close on medium /high settings textures look fantastic

On my desktop rig, using my 5870 it looked even better, but the ATI 5650 was no shambles, as I said – impressive game, looks amazingly real DICE did a really good job IMO.

With medium settings it will look about the same as the console

but with the added benefit of bigger maps, more players, and the ability to play using a kb + mouse.

Forgot it came free with my xbox, got the limited edition, had a quick game last night and it was awesome, but I'm still very much considering the PC version as well.

Just wish I knew how well it would run, I am very fussy about that sort of thing and if it didn't run it well I'd want to take it back. But obviously that wouldn't be an option.

Is there a demo on the PC?

Thanks,

G

Hahah, "only" a GTX 285. It's better than my 8600GT I'm sure. :D

Interestingly, most online players are on PS3 according to EA.

For online games I always go for whichever platform my friends are getting it for. Most if not all single player games I buy for PS3. Most multiplayer games end up on 360.
PC is mainly used for PC exclusive titles like Starcraft II.

I have no interest at all in playing online co-op multiplayer with people I don't know.

If you have no preference for that then PC is probably best. For consoles, I find the PS3 better in every single way, except online multiplayer if you're wanting to party up and chat etc - 360 is much better for this.
