The family was setting up a first computer for the kids for Christmas but something went wrong when powering it up and the MOBO died. They spent heavily on the peripherals, desk, office chair, watercooler, PSU, SSD's, was given two 1080p monitors, bought a secondhand GPU 980ti due to the current pricing but the cpu, ram and mobo were sort of old make do kind of things. 4 core 4770k or something with 16gb ram and whatever the mobo was. The family have managed to scramble some temporary parts together to get the rig up and running for Christmas to not ruin the surprise but they are going to have to invest in a cpu, ram and mobo after Christmas. They have a budget between £300-£500. Intel have IGPU's so an Intel favoured build would be better just incase the GPU fails at some point, it's the only other component that isn't in warranty.

This upgrade of components should actually be a blessing in the long run with the warranties included. We only need a cpu, ram and mobo combination. IGPU included on the cpu would be ideal. This will be used as a family computer but is mostly for the kids. I
