Best possible gfx card for under £100?

A friend from work has asked me to recommend a gfx card and he has up to £100 to spend.

This doesn't seem enough to me, but please can people let me know whats good

4850 if you can reach to it. Best bang for buck card out there.

9600/9800 or HD4850 (if you can stretch that far)

I have been thinking about a 4850 but it seems the 8800gtx has more memory bandwidth.

4850 looks like its more of a rival for the 8800gts and gt.

The 4850 is faster than the GTX, let alone the GTS and GT. Memory bandwidth only helps at high AA/AF, and the 4850 have a better architecture for that. 4850 rivals/betters the 9800GTX+, which was brought out in a quick attempt by NV to have any chance at competing at that price point.

If he can manage to add £1.19 (but not the rest to the 4850), then he can get this :- 4830

Not as fast as the 4850, but better than the rest (8800 GTX/9800/8800 GT etc...)
