Hi Guys,

I'm starting to wonder if my lack of getting interviews is down to my CV. I've worked as a doorman for 17 years and am utterly done with it, ideally I'd like a career change to IT but have no qualifications and other than building several machines over the years and fault fixing for friends and family I don't have any work experience. I'd literally take anything right now though as we are struggling as a family to make ends meet so am not fussy. I just know I want some job security.

Starting a completely new CV what best practices would you guys recommend for an absolutely killer CV?

No qualifications or experience is going to be a barrier even into 1st line support positions, maybe consider an apprenticeship if you need work fast? Some industry qualifications would help.
