for two GTX480 in sli, you need a 850w psu or higher from a good brand.

they are very power hungry, loud and hot.

two 6950/6970 can be run on a 650w psu.

the anandtech comparison link also provides wattage usage while gaming with Crysis, this figure includes the i7 test system too.
