Hi all,

It's payday tomorrow, which means it's a perfect time for an upgrade!!

I'm upgrading the PC in my sig and tomorrow I'm probably going for a 74gb Velociraptor and a 4870x2!

The 4870x2 is probably a bit of overkill, but is VERY tempting and I'll be using dual monitors quite often (I'm assiming a dual core graphics card will be usefull?)

A few questions before I hit buy (my basket is aready packed!);

1. Will a 600w PSU have enough power?

2. Im assuming there wont be any compatability issues? (this is a question!)

3. I'll be upgrading again in a month or so, probably mobo and cpu. mobo is looking like a new ASUS X48, but I'm a bit behind with processors! I'm pretty sure a Dual Core will be fine, but I'm not sure which one! (again, a question!)

As you will probably guess, the computer is mostly used for gaming (Cod4), and im eagerly awaiting CoD5, Crysis Warhead and Far Cry 2...

any help/suggestions would be welcomed!!

Cheers!

EDIT: should probably be in general hardware - will repost!!

If gaming, dual core is your friend. Go for an E8400 or E8600 depending on how much cash you're prepared to spend :)
