Best prog to clean processes up

Rookies, as you've been online for a while,
any chance of coming back and explaining what your own thread is about ?


have you got a spyware problem ?
are you looking for rootkits ?
do you want tools for querying running processes ?
want a registry cleaner ?
want to disable unrequired processes ?
do you want to stop a process from running ?
do you want to analyse what a process is connecting to ?
analyse the CPU time per process ?


...what ? :(

hjiackthis is good for cleaning up your startup programs if that's what you mean..

www.hijackthis.de to analyse your log

also, google every entry that you don't recognise, and disable anything that isn't necessary to the pc

Blackvipers guide and it's variants, and also msconfig - you need to research as not many progs can auto config this kind of thing. It's system dependant.

Edit - Bledds right, and also try googling for running processes in taskmanager to see whats running that you don't need.
