As title.
I have a PDF file that when clicked on asks for a password.
The password could be up to 20 characters long but would be the name of a company eg Overclockers Ltd (no fancy characters)

Any suggestions?
Free preferably.

Thanks

Well I must have tried at least 10 of the top products and none of them work (or perhaps a couple of them would if I had years to get the password).
It seems there are 2 type of password protection:
1) One that stops you from printing and editing
2) One that stops you reading it

The first one is easy but the second one asks you for the password!!
When it says they are a password remover it means you put the password in and it will remove it for future use.
Another DOS based program (PDFcrack) will just try millions & millions of passwords.
Mind you I've just tried it with #Tu and it couldn't find it.

Unless it's the simple protected pdf variety then yes you have to use a bruteforce or dictionary attack which could take a while. The encryption would be pointless if you could just remove it like that.
