Best program to make Image file from AVI

As title whats the best program to use must be compatable with Vista many thanks.

VLC has a screen grab option, though if you're wanting multiple caps (eg - to make an animated gif) then my choice would be Media Player Classic.

In which case Nero does the job well enough for my liking.

if you want to make a screen capture of a video file, then use media player classic, file. save image
