Best PS2 Racing game (2 player splitscreen)

Hey guys.
My mate's asked me to get a couple of 2 player splitscreen arcade racers for his PS2 so we can play at the weekend. I've been away from the playstation scene for ages and there's tons of stuff available. My fave games from way back then were the original Wipeout, SSX Tricky and a few others. What are your fave multiplayer racing games on PS2? Cheers

I always loved the Original Need for Speed Underground. Not the 2nd one, The first.

I absolutely loved playing my mate on NFS use to spend hours on it until I found burnout (+1!).

that and a cart racing game as good as Speed Freaks on the PS1. Many a night was wasted with the lads round and a few beers on that game.

Okay, so far I'm opting for Burnout 3 along with SSX Tricky (loved that one, just not tried it split screen) Will check out reviews on Mashed too

I'd say Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. I'm not fussed on GT4 and for me the graphics of GT3 seem a bit crisper. GT4 does offer more tracks though. Burnout 2 and 3 are excellent and I have a soft spot for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2.
