Best PS3 Deal?

I've just packed up my Xbox 360 for sale, this will have been my 7th Xbox since release, as I tend to swap between the PS3 and Xbox 360 depending on the line up of games coming. I don't like owning two consoles at once.

So then, what is the best deal at the moment? £250 looks to be about the going rate for the 500GB slim? Any better offers?

Likewise, should I avoid the slim? The disc loading mechanism looks a little cheap and nasty?
 
I just bought a Super Slim PS3 for £149.99 and got a 320gb harddrive and HDD bracket for £50.

There might be better deals but £200 for a 320GB PS3 was alright for me.

The disc loader does feel a little cheap and springy, but something like this really doesn't bother me, especially if it saves money.

I got a super slim for £140 and a 500gb hdd for £40.

Didn't bother with the bracket, get this I have moved the ps3, rotated it to stand vertically and the hdd has not fallen out. I think if you just avoid rotating it so the hdd side isnt pointing down there is no need to buy a bracket.

There might be better deals but £180 for a 500GB PS3 was alright for me.
 
Personally I'd look for a looked after, second-hand Slim. My original PS3 died just before Christmas, picked up an immaculate 320GB Slim from the Member's Market on here for cheap.
