Best PSU for around £50 please!

Hello all,

I'm after a decent PSU Please.

However I don't really want to go over £50.

Please could you make some recommendations. - Makes and model.

It will depend slightly on what you want to power with it which will be best but take a look at the Antec 460w, the FSPs of 400w, the Tagan Easycon 430w and finally if you don't need ATX 2.0 compliance at the X-Pro 460w.

What are the Hiper PSU's like? Any good?

i have the Hiper HPU-4B580 Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU and its been excellent. no problems at all. much better than me previous q-tec

Yeah Hiper's seem to be pretty good and fairly well thought of, I seem to recall some people mentioning the noise but overall pretty decent. I didn't mention them as they are on the wrong side of your budget

ive gone from a tagan 430w to a hiper psu and i have not had any problems with it being noisy.

Certainly for most people Hiper's do have a tendancy to be noisy, especially as they age or under load. The Tagan's are very nice and competely silent.
