Best PSU

Yes but thats way over priced and flawed I believe as it has all power on a single rail which isnt always a good thing, read about a blow up on newegg reviews.

PSU all depends on your setup. And too much power can be a bad thing as the PSU wont run at most efficiency.

Also considering almost all hardware is using less power gpus, cpus, mobos, ssd etc etc. Consider the 850W or 1050W silver rated Corsair which is what I may be going for. The 1050W is about £160 compared to the AX1200 over £250 i think.

I've found it for a pretty good price, although like you say, if im using no where near that amount of power, will there be an efficency issue?

TBH who cares about efficiency, so it doesnt run at the right efficiency, what does that mean, the PSU will cost slightly more to run? So what.

If you running like 2/3 graphics cards, like 6990 or 590/580 then go for a 1200 otherwise consider lower wattage one.

Currently on a corsair HX520 served be incredibly well. Just think its time for an upgrade, it will most likely be fine but more of a reassurance for myself.

The 850W should handle GTX780s in SLI! (that of course could be completely wrong, but it's unlikely they will need more power, smaller process hopefully means far less power! - for instance the 580 uses slightly less power than the 480 for more performance).

Anyway, if you want the absolute best the Corsair AX1200 probably is it :)

EDIT: if you are not considering SLI GTX780s, then a 650W will run one fine

Yep, seasonic are the oem for quite a few psu brands. Enermax are another i highly reccomend. Most high end corsairs are rebadged seasonics. Or anything by channel well tech as an oem. Had a thermaltake toughpower 750w, cwt unit. A great psu, just sadly lacked pcie connectors for me as i run sli.

Be reassured your current PSU is fine. If your having no problems why not wait until you need to upgrade.
