That drives either the rears or all 4 :)

would like aircon and a bit of comfort, trying to think of new possible next cars, would also like some usable rear seats!

Well I don't know if it rates as a Q car, but having gone from a Prelude VTEC to a Soarer TT i'm incredibly impressed.

99% are autos but they're cheap, reliable, stinking fast with good rear seats and RWD.

£2000 for 280+ bhp, if you paid a bit more you'd get an immaculate one.

yeah, ive been looking at the soarer and it does intrigue me :)

how does it feel to drive compared to the prelude? i.e does it handle as well when you are spanking around? :)

Isnt there a lot to go wrong with the soarer though, electrics etc?.. I've never owned one, but i went to look at one about a year ago and a mechanic friend warned me right off it, on the basis that the electrics are a bitch and cost a fortune to put right if it all goes wrong. He could well be wrong though of course?.

It's a big car, but still lighter than bloaters like the Mitsi 3000. Handling is pretty good as suspension is all electric, so stiffens up when you're going fast and around corners. It'll feel heavier than a Prelude but a lot faster. Really shifts after about 60 mph. Not much electrics really, the only problem is that most of them at some point start having their dashboards blinking. Simple fix requiring 2 resistors to be soldered.

They basically are Supras in sheep's clothing.

£5k Q Car? Hmm....

1, E34 BMW M5 with badge replaced with that off a 518i / 520i ;) * (or, Perhaps, an e39 540i with 520i badge....)

2, Sierra Sapphire Cosworth with bodykit / spoilers removed & 1.8 LX badge swap. :p

* Would be my preference.

** Both will cost an arm & leg in running costs & insurance. :(

Somthing I'm considering when the Supra gets to small is a Toyota/Lexus Aristo
The Aristo is a very rare Lexus GS300 with the Supra TT engine ie 280+hp stock. All of these will be imports and they go for around 5k for a reasonable one
