Best ram for this rig?

Hey all, before i buy my new stuff, i want to know the best ram i should get for my system is

Asrock Dual VSTA 775, supports dual channel ddr2
Core 2 Duo Conroe E6600

The mobo supports DDRI and DDRII, so i think for a while (untill i can afford it) i will use my current ram, PC3200 gig.

Im looking to get 2gig, and my budget is around £170..

Do you intend to overclock the CPU/FSB?

If not then DDR II PC5300 will do for FSB of 266 which is default for Core 2 chips.
If you do want to overclock then DDRII PC6400 will allow a FSB of 400 Mhz, if the mobo will reach 400FSB.

So it depends if you want to run at default clocks or not.

Actually PC4200 is 266 / 533 DDR, PC5300 is 333 / 667 DDR. Confusing but hey, not my system

Though with the prices as they are, even if you aren't overclocking might as well get PC5300 (or whatever is highest your board safely supports and is a similar price) anyway and just downclock it to sync
