best ram

Hi all
looking at ram to use in video editing is better to get 2x8 gig at 2133 or get 24gig at a 1600 or 1866

What is the rest of your spec?

Usually more more ram is better.

Haswell seems to like fast ram, go with 16gb now then add anther 16gb later.

Performance varies just about nothing unless you're running Crossfire/SLI, but if you want the best, 2400MHz at C10 latency (it's not very cheap).

Doubt that will fit with your air cooler.

Can you see clearly the two orange slots if you look down at your board with the cooler in place?

16Gb now (do you have a suitable OS? as there are memory limits on various Win7 versions)

Would be best for a huge heatsink like the Silver Arrow as the fan may sit over the first and second slots.
