Best Recovery & imaging Software?

Heyy, ive taken a peak at the sticky with lots of freeware utilitys and just wanted a few opinions.

1) Whats the best data recovery tool?
like recovering data after emptying the recycle bin
ive got Recuva, but just wondering if theres better around...

2) What the best imaging tool?
I've just turned off System Restore as i think its a waste of disk space and need a nice image of my current system, im in the process of trying out clonezilla.

(I have limited HDD space atm looking to buy some storage soon)

best i would say is acronis true image.

its free if you have a western digital drive.

2) Use the built-in Windows tool

I use Acronis, though for my back machine I do use EASUS Backup TODO, there was also a free giveaway recently for a backup software, can't recall what it was, sorry.

I'm currently using True Image Home 2012, although I've heard Shadow Protect Desktop is meant to be better. The VirtualBoot feature sounds really cool.
