I have worked with Server 2012 R2 for a couple of years, but only really done basic stuff, like setup file share, IIS, DNS, DHCP, VPN and domain controllers.

I'd really like to actually gain a certification as a lot of prospective employers are asking for an MCSA or MSCE. The MSCA for server 2016 is what I'm planning on studying for at the moment. I was just wondering what you guys have found are the best learning resources for it, official or unofficial, books or online videos?

I have a virtual lab set up at the moment, but I know I need to switch to vmware in order to use hyper-v.

This is what I did.

Read the official book.
Lab each chapter going over the steps in the book.
Snapshot the VM.
Play with it: IE, what happens if you do this, or that, or delete this.
Restore the VM's :)
Move onto the next chapter and repeat.
Every 3rd chapter, do chapter one again so you do them like this.

1,2,3,1,4,5,6,2,6,7,8,3.

There are some good YouTube gents, Tech Jacks and Eli the computer guy do good videos.
