Hi there,
I put a question in the HDD section, but realise it's probably more suited to the software (Windows) area.
I am going to upgrade my computer soon, and was going to get a couple of raptor 74GB hdd's.
Would it be better to place windows and programs on the same raid array, or better to seperate them using a 3rd hdd?
I know this is getting into the whole "Is raid0 worth it..." area. But i do video editing with raw avi's, which can go up to 20gb for single files.
I currently have 1 x 200gb, 1 x 80gb and 1 x 120gb...all 7200rpm.
Can I ask what people out there do with their windows when using the raid0? Do you give windows or your programs the priority? Or do you lump them together on the same array.
I'll end up with 2x74gb raptors as well as the above. So any combination is possible.
Thanks for any assistance, and to any Mod's, if you delete the other post thats fine.
Cheers.
