So i'm on my 2nd DG834GT, it just won't sync for more than 10 mins so at the moment, i'm back on the standard wireless box II TG585v7.

It's ok, but when it comes to connecting to steam games, it fails hard and i haven't found a proper fix to stop it disconnecting all the time.

I'm on the lookout for a better router now. I don't want another DG834GT as they are getting on a bit now.

any ideas?

I use the same box with Be there.

The only issue that I have with it, is I get disconnected from BFBC2 server after 20mins, but after the first disconnect, I an happily play for hours, with no discon.

What you should probably do is flash the router to the latest firmware.

Thats what I would do anyway.

If you where with Be, I could point you in the right direction, but as your with O2, I think your need to contact O2 or look for the O2 forums etc....

I use the o2 box too. have played around with the dgteam firmware on dg834gt, there's no real point. you can tweak it to increase the sync speed but with a less reliable connection, might aswell just stick with the o2 box. mines the one with 2 aerials, the o2 box iv i think?

Yeah, i've been using the DG team fw on an ex sky router for the past 8 months or so without issues, but it's recently started losing sync a lot and due to the way my last Dg834gt router went, i suspect this router has the same problem.

I'll try a reflash with latest fw, but failing that i think i might give o2 a call and see what they can do. Hopefully their latest router doesn't have any issues with certain valve games.

You may be synched to high?

They can maybe lower your speed, so that you gain stability.

I had similar issues, so I had my profile lowered and it has been rock solid since.

However, after getting a new router and flashing it to the latest firmware, I thought I'd try the fast profile again, and since it has been stable, so fingers crossed it stay stable.

Also make sure you have microfilters on all devices connected to your phone line, including sky boxes etc...
