I'll be directly connected to it, then it'll need to handle 2 wireless desktops and 2 laptops. (They're not all being used all the time obviously... but )
For general use the Netgear WGR614 would do the job, or the WNR3500L would be better if the laptops can make use of the extra speed (i.e. if they are 'N' wireless rather than 'G').

It's probably worth getting a wireless 'N' router anyway as they seem to have better wireless 'G' performance and all new clients should have wireless 'N'.
