In your budget this is my favourite.

But the best OC board period is ASrock Taichi X370 you get loads of options and great power delivery as well as solid performance. ASUS Crosshair 6 is also a great board.
Thanks. this give me a few options,
You will know this better then most due to all the testing you but is there a huge difference in the boards, unlike you someone like me may not use all the different OC options.

That is the main board ive been looking at due to the desigh, UK RMA, RGB but a few people have said the bios is not up to scratch.

The BIOS does allow overclocking, or if you mean not stable etc, that would be early on in Ryzens launch and all boards sucked, but there has been constant BIOS updates and it's all good now.

Yes, I meant not stable compared, I was assuming it was early on but ive been told they are still a bit off compared to something like the Asus boards. also whats the real difference between this and the K5 and the 5 They both seam very similar, I dont know if you have tried any other board but are you able to compare to the asus board.

lastly should I avoid the B350 boards ?

Sorry if im asking too many question but its still early on and ive not been able to find much info.

K5 has BLK chip for overclocking but 5 has the better BIOS options at the moment as well as more VRMs to allow for better power management of the OC

also on sale for the Price of what the K5 was at OCUK

also can hit 3400Mhz with a Ram vendor- posted it on one of the Aorus threads here- forgot the ram company but they tested their ktis on a wide range of boards and speeds

Thanks for the reply that does help a bit but i'm not as advance as you guy, so this may be a silly question but what is BLK chip? also how much more VRMs does the Gaming 5 have would it make a difference.

as for the bois option, are the missing feature important or just really advance option, i cant see the bios so would it be worth paying the extra for the bios and VRMs ?

Blk chip is an external clock generator so you can oc with blk as well as multiplier.

It's only essential to get the absolute most from an oc. Higher vrm quality makes it easier to get high stable overclocks. I would advise this option as am4 will be around a long time and you may want to upgrade the Cpu to future ryzen generation. It's really worth paying extra for quality vrm.

Thanks,
So you would suggest higher VRM over the BLK chip ?

You are correct, I would like the ability to upgrade the CPU in the future and i'm also aiming for a x370 over a b350 for the same reason, the minor extras in case I may need them.

How do the Asus Prime X370-Pro board compare to the gigabyte 5 and K5 ?

Motherboards are still a bit confusing to me, especially these gigabyte one's, so i'm trying to do a bit of research first before i spend.
