Just wandering if anyone has any recommendations for sat nav software.
Don't like the way Googles solution requires you to download the map from the web as most of the time ill be needing one is when I'm in the middle of nowhere with no mobile signal.

Any suggestions ?

Just ordered an HTC legend and was reading Co-Pilot 8 has problems with Android 2.1.

Anyone experienced any problems?

I've been using Co-Pilot on my Hero. Seems to work perfectly, I get a satellite lock within 20 seconds of switching GPS on usually (A-GPS on, actual GPS off to start off with, and then turning the actual GPS on). Only thing I need to figure out is speed camera's, and for some odd reason, it gets itself in a real muddle when stationary and entering a route, it doesn't know where it is or what it's doing until you move off.

Oh, and I get the occasional GPS error where it loses signal and doesn't relocate until you move away, happened after a stretch on the M1 the other day and took about half a mile for it to figure out where it was. Could be a GPS blackspot I suppose (if that's possible).

I've got Co-Pilot on my Magic, had a few issues a while back using the Cyanogenmod rom's, but never had any on the stock 1.5 or the current rom, and it works solidly enough, bit of an issue getting to certain race tracks (bit awkward cause you've got a postcode but no real other identifier, only tried the google stuff at Oulton but it worked perfectly there...)

Saying that I've recently started using the Google nav stuff, few issues like the voice commands not coming until at/after the junction, but even with just GPRS I found it worked fine.

I've got Co-Pilot running on my hero. Can't fault it one bit, prefer it to my old tom tom, locks onto a satellite signal much quicker and hasn't steered me wrong, so far.
